(Slot 1 is populated by my GPU, and Slots 2 and 4 are only x1-forget about them. Slot 1 is PCIe 4.0 x16, Slot 3 is PCIe 4.0 x8-which when used, drops Slot 1 to x8-and Slot 5 is PCIe 4.0 x4. I've tried both them in both PCIe Slots 3 and 5.

I initially thought the cause was my Elgato 4K60Pro MK.2, so I bought a different card-a Magewell Pro Capture HDMI 4K Plus LT-but the exact same problem persists with this capture card, too, ruling them out as the cause. It seems whatever issue I am having is not specific to the capture card or the software, so I'm at a loss what else it could be.

The stutters will happen both in x.264 software and Nvidia's nvenc encoders, and no adjustments in quality settings seem to make any difference whatsoever. This stuttering occurs whether I use OBS Studio, elgato's 4k capture utility, avermedia's RECentral 4, even Xsplit Broadcaster.

I returned that card and bought an avermedia gc573, another 4k pcie capture card, thinking maybe it was just bad drivers from elgato. I was convinced that it was my capture card or a USB issue, so much so that I ditched my old usb-connected elgato hd60s and bought an elgato 4k60 pro mk2 pcie card. This is not present on the actual content being captured - it is running at a locked 60fps and I don't see the same stutters or slowdowns while playing via passthrough.

It's hard to describe, but it's like the content goes from 60fps down to 30-40 for a fraction of a second before picking back up again. When recording 1080p60 content, the recording will occasionally act like it's dropping frames, even though the capture or streaming software reports no such thing. I would reboot my computer after every burn.Hi, I'm trying to track down the source of some intermittent frame stutters on my capture card. At this point, I have not reinstalled Roxio, and I am not sure that I want to reinstall it if it is going to affect my system in this way. So I had to do a restore system to the point before which Roxio was initially installed, then all my updates shows and my system came back. When I would try to update, it said no updates selected.

Although I could see updates, and the update components were set to automatically receive. This time when I went to do my Windows Updates, it said Windows had never been updated. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again using the steps given. When I tried to make a second DVD, it would although the program said it complete, it would not play in my DVD player, the opening title slide just played on and on, there was no disc menu, no options. A DVD was created and I was able to play it in my DVD player. The first time I tried using the Record to DVD feature it worked. However as soon as I press the record button, everything stops. As long as I do not press the record button, I can watch the video, that means that there is a signal. In order to get the VCR screen, I had to hit unplug the S-Video and plug in the yellow video cable connection. It was funny though that when the playback screen first came up after the reinstall what I saw was the DVD video ball bouncing around on the screen. plugged in the device and again for the first 10 seconds I see video and hear audio, however once the record button is hit, only audio is heard for about another 10 seconds and the screen goes green. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. You seem to have more knowlegde about this than the tech support for Roxio. The computer is an e-machine with Windows 7, the VCR is Sanyo with but is about 5 years old. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same thing. I tried moving the usb to another port, I purchased a S-Video cable, same thing. When I pressed the record button, the playback screen turned green or black and then said no video signal. Same thing happened to me, except that I got 10 seconds of video.
